An international oil service company is expanding in Williston.
Halliburton Co. broke ground Thursday on a complex estimated at $20 million in the city’s Industrial Park.
Halliburton provides oil field services to major companies and independent firms, and employs more than 300 people in northwestern North Dakota and eastern Montana.
The new complex is to open next year with space for tools, truck washing, sand and parking.
Halliburton officials said they had to lay off workers in Williston recently, but they believe the economy will change.
Spokesman Brent Eslinger said Halliburton has been in the area for more than 25 years.
